NATURE OF PROPOSAL :
1. Inspect all A.0. Panel Altimeters (Asrno No. 60-606; Aerosonic.Mfg. Corp.) on
-F-2 foils airplanes, and rs-ldantify as Part No. Q-295 all
altimeters from which the 10,000 ft. increment pointer has been previously
removed. Unmodified altimeters to be replaced by Q-295 altimetersq
2'. Approx. ten Aerno.No. 60-606 altimeters (Aerosonic Mfg. Corp. only) to be
returned to contractor on depot rework order for modification and reidentification
as spares support of A.O. Panelso
3o Prepare and issue a service bulletin - SB 141.

REASON FOR PROPOSAL
To provide reidentification of the Aerno No. 60-606 A.0. Panel altimeter
(which has been modified by removal of the 10,000 ft* increment pointer)
in order to prevent substitution of standard unmodified altimeters as -
spares-replacements. 10,000 ft. pointer removed for security reasons
by request of SMAMA.
