Weekly Activities and Status Report - 15 March 1983
CIPC Organizational Activities:
? CIPC meeting still scheduled for 1400, 21 March; all organizations will be
represented; however, we will contact the respective organizations tomorrow
and verify attendees.
? Agenda remains unchanged--briefings on Narcotics and
? Staff pre-briefing scheduled for 16 March.
? Met with Major Roger Hill, Air Force Intelligence, on 15 March and had good
philosophical dialogue on how the CIPC staff could support the Committee
principals and role of the CIPC.
- The Air Force is attempting to formulate their internal modus
operandi for supporting the CIPC and MGEN Marks.
- They are also somewhat concerned what background and supportive
info the CIPC staff will be providing the principals preparatory
to the monthly meetings.

Narcotics Projects and Activities:
? The Narcotics Working Group has been formed; 17 organizations represented,
membership provided with 8 March report.
- Question has surfaced regarding Justice Department
representation. We don't have a member nor is there one on the
Warning Working Group.
- Working Group Chairman selected: Jon Wiant, State. We
will be seeking State concurrence today. 25X1
- We are hopeful that the Working Group can be convened this
week; however, this obviously will depend on respective
calendars. At a minimum, a date for the meeting will be
established and announced at the CIPC meeting.
