CIPC Organizational Activities
? The Follow-up Narcotics Report was forwarded to the CIPC members on
Monday, 29 July.
? Ray is scheduled to brief BGEN Frank J. Breth, USMC Monday, 5 August at
0915 hours.
? We have received all the NFIC comments to the Terrorism Study. Thus far,
there have been no substantive comments recorded. We plan to have the
study ready to forward to the DCI this week.
MOBILE MISSILE STUDY:
? On 29 July,l (presented a briefing on the results of the Mobile
Missile Panel to the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board
? On 24 July, George attended the monthly Intelligence Coordination Meeting
hosted by State/INM. Among personnel matters highlighted was the
announcement that Clyde Taylor has been nominated as Ambassador to
Paraguay. His replacement as Deputy Assistant Secretary is Mark Dionne, a
career Foreign Service Officer with extensive service in the Southeast
Asia sphere; experience in narcotics matters; and an excellent knowledge

? In addition, representatives from both the DI and the DO confirmed that
their components had increased in personnel strength since the
imnlamantatinn of the CIPC Narcotics Study.
CBW STUDY:
? The report, approved by the DDCI for the DCI on 22 July, is being
processed for publication. We plan to forward the report to NFIC and CIPC
members for their information and use as appropriate.
? The BMD Working Group met on 23 July to review the initial draft of the
follow-up report. The meeting was well attended and progress was made on
reaching agreement on the text. We hope to have an agreed draft in final
by the end of August. The report will include a background section
updating the status of our knowledge of the Soviet program.
