SUBJECT: Two-Year Rotational Assignment
1. I wish to thank you for your willingness to assist in identifying an
NSA candidate for a staff intelligence position with the Critical Intelligence
Problems Committee (CIPC) of the Intelligence Community Staff.
2. As you are aware, the Committee is tasked by the DCI to provide
specific remedial solutions to critical, Qross-disciplinary intelligence
problems. Once a task has been assigned, we need a staff officer who can
develop the terms of reference, assist the organization and management of the
working group, and maintain contact with appropriate Intelligence Community
organizations and individuals. Analytic skill as well as judgment and tact is
required. Knowledge of collection systems is highly desirable.
3. Our present requirement is for the two-year rotational assignment of
an officer at the GS-15 grade level. Reporting date would be 6 May 1985 or as
soon thereafter as convenient.
4. I believe the assignment of an NSA officer would be advantageous to
your agency, to the officer concerned, and to the Intelligence Community
Staff. Executive Secretary of the CIPC. can provide
