The seventy-fifth meeting of the Computer Security Subcommittee of the United States Intelligence Board Security Committee was held between 0930 and 1305 hours on 30 November 1973 in Room 4E-64, CIA Headquarters Building, In attendance were: Mr Louis C. The security level of the meeting was TOP SECRET SI/TK. 3. Approval of Minutes: After noting a change in the date from 15 January 1973 to 15 January 1974 in para- graph 5., the minutes were approved. 4. Intelligence Community Policy for the Sanitization of Computer Storage Media: Discussion concerning the 12 November draft of the Policy for the Sanitization of Computer Storage Media was lengthy and detailed. The suggestions supplied by various members were noted and the Chairman indicated that a new draft would be forthcoming by 1 December 1973 and should be distributed to all members by 3 December. The Chairman advised that he hoped for full coordination by the member agencies by 7 December. The Chairman was desirous of having the final draft of the policy paper as part of the agenda for the USIB Security Committee meeting scheduled for 18 December 1973. 5. Threat Analysis: In that the discussions on the sanitization policy paper consumed considerable time, the Chairman advised that members should supply inputs to the anticipated paper on the subject by the first meeting in January of 1974. 6. Next Subcommittee Meeting: The next meeting of the Subcommittee is scheduled for 7.December at 0930 hours at CIA Headquarters.
