SECURITY OFFICER
SUBJECT: Conditional Accreditation of the Secure Video
Teleconferencing System (SVTS) Initial Operating
Capability - Automated (IOC-A) Phase
Based on the meeting held on 7 December with you, DCA and
NSC staff, I am holding in abeyance your recommendation to
conditionally accredit the SVTS for IC-A. As discussed in that
meeting request you assess alternative 3 proposed by the NSC
staff and provide your analysis and recommendation to me by 6
January 1989. As the system accreditor I would like to be
assured that the system is compliant with existing security
policy while still offering the user maximum ease of use.
