MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director for Administration
FROM: John M. Ray
Director of Logistics
SUBJECT: Parking and Traffic Management
Headquarters Compound
STAT REFERENCE:
Headquarters Compound Parking
1. As a followup to the referent Headquarters Notice on
parking, the attached memoranda should be forwarded to the
Executive Director and each deputy director urging their full
support and cooperation. These memoranda reemphasize the need
to increase participation in ride sharing and to provide some
shift flexibility to employees for greater participation in the
program.
2. I have included in the memoranda target figures for
each directorate over current participation figures. In
summary, an increase of 70 percent would improve ridership to a
more respectable 1.4 ratio over the current 1.2. The
STAT Directorate of Administration (DA) currentl has
STAT participants and, accordingly, a figure of should be
established as a directorate goal.
3. I am also proposing establishment of a Parking/Traffic
STAT Task Force to be chaired by Facilities Management
STAT Division, Office of Logistics, The
communication to the Executive Director and deputy directors
solicits a representative to this panel, and a nominee from the
DA is also requested.
