Dear Mr. Donnelly:
I was delighted and honored to meet you, Hank Mahony, and Ed Maloney
earlier this year. While I'm deeply grateful of receiving an award for this
work, your consideration and support is even more of an honor.
Your organization impressed me in its effective response to a disturbing
problem. When no one else took this seriously, you reacted quickly and
directly, and understood its implications and difficulties. Would that other
sections of our government were as capable!
As you know, their suggestions and help were
central to resolving a mysteries surrounding this high-tech invasion.
Beyond understanding the technical nature of the problem, they delicately
parted the veils of various bureaucracies, creating progress when everything
appeared stalled. Without their encouragement and patience, this program
would have withered long before it reached fruition.
Sadly, a few of my colleagues look askance at our collaboration; despite this,
I'm delighted to display the certificate in my Berkeley office. More than a
reminder of a most surprising afternoon, it brings back memories of working
alongside several extraordinary folks from Langley.
Again, thank you very much for your consideration and honor. Should
there be any way that +I might help in the future, I'll certainly be happy to
return the favor.
