On 23 July after several years of software development effort, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) provided Delivery 3.0/3.1 of the Support for the Analysts' File Environment (SAFE) computer system to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). OL and Virginia Department-of Transportation-MOT) officials met this week with members of the Evermay community-to_hear their complaint-,- regarding Agency-funded work on Rbutes'123 and 193. The specific complaint is that the contractor has stripped the existing vegetation-between the new wall currently being installed behind their houses and Route 193. The VDOT Project- Manager indicated that he would provide a heavy planting of new vegetation in that area. 7. A model of a statue of William Donovan, commissioned by former DCI Casey, has been completed and inspected by the OL interior design consultant. The sculptor, Lawrence M. Ludtke of Houston, Texas, will now commence work on the life-size statue, which will be placed in the main entrance of the original Headquarters Building. 8. The Office of Personnel conducted Career Trainee interviews in Detroit, Cleveland, and Columbus with 500 individuals. Local police in Columbus ensured that student demonstrators and news media did not interfere with the interview process. William F.
