Notes on Legislative/Public Affairs:
The Director is to testify on Perspective 10 on Tuesday at
10:00. This is only one of three items on the agenda; Thorpe,,
will try to arrange so DCI can leave after his testimony if
he wishes.
Request from sponsor of group of 40 outstanding high school
students to visit CIA on 20 July. I told Lavon to turn it
down--that from now on we normally would not provide tours
for high school students. On the other hand, Omego Ware
has a group of Howard University students coming in in a
week or so. I confirmed that that was okay as they repre-
sent a potential recruitment pool.
