Enclosed is a transcript of the briefing before the Permanent Select
Committee on Intelligence of October 15, 1987. Pursuant to Rule 4 of the
Rules of the Committee, it is requested that appropriate corrections be made
and the completed transcripts returned within five days following receipt.
This same rule provides that "Corrections shall be limited to grammar and
minor editing, and may not be made to change the substance of the testimony."
Also enclosed are questions for the record. It is requested that your
responses to these questions and the edited transcript reach the Committee by
