use is a copy of the witness list for
the
third day
of
hearings
on defectors held on 21 October 1987 by
the
Permanent
Subcommittee
on Investigations, Senate Governmental
Affairs Committee (Chairman Nunn).
2. Also attached are copies of two of the private sector
witnesses' written statements: William Geimer, Jamestown
Foundation, and Vladimir Sakharov. You should have already
received some of the others and the remainder appear not to have
submitted written statements for the record.
3. DDI/OIR/VMB (2-7407) indicates they expect to have the
first two days available on tape (there was no television coverage
of the third day). Please contact them to make suitable arrange-
ments for viewing.
