PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO S. 1420, THE OMNIBUS TRADE AND COMPETTVENESS ACT OF 1987 TITLE X--EXPORT ADMINISTRATION ACT AMENDMENTS is amended by changing sec. 1019 on line 9, page 420, to sec. 1020 and adding a new sec. 1019 to read as follows: SEC. 1019. NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE REVIEW. Section 5 of the Export Administration Act of 1979 (50 U.S.C. App. 2404) is amended by adding at the end thereof the following: "(t) NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE REVIEW.--me Secretary, in consultation with the Directors of intelligence agencies with/ export control responsibilities, shall identify those Control' List goods and technologies which, if exported, would prove detrimental to the national intelligence effort of the United States, and shall submit requests for exports of such goods and technologies directly to the agencies for review. Intelligence agency directors shall review submissions made to them pursuant to this paragraph, and shall advise the Secretary directly of their recommendation using the same procedures and dispute resolution mechanism as those established for the Secretary of Defense in section 10(g)(2)."
