FND COMSEC officer position.
2. C/MPS met with senior OC management on 15 August to
discuss proposed agenda items for the upcoming OC/OIT Joint
Planning Conference scheduled for October. The proposed items
will now be discussed with OIT and a final agenda developed.

OC-AMD
1. AMD recruitment representatives interviewed over 500
potential employees resulting in the issuance of over 200 PHS
packages during recent trips through Massachusetts, Connecticut,
Rhode Island, and North Carolina. On two occasions, AMD
recruiters declined requests from local television and radio
stations to participate in media controlled interviews.
2. The Phase II Report of the EPS Banding Survey has been
completed by the Psychological Services Division of OMS. It
contains recommendations that the bonus system for employees
be clarified as to when and how bonuses will be used and their
intended effects. The report also recommends that greater
effort and emphasis be placed on performance feedback to
employees. This report will be discussed at the D/CO's
Executive Board Meeting on 26 August.

4. The second and final pilot running of the CRAFT System
Administration training for TCOs has been completed and the
course schedule prepared for 1987. Because training requests
are still being received, it is anticipated that at least two
more course presentations will be run prior to the end of 1986.
6. an OL Career Trainee, has joined the
staff of the Communications School Group's Instructional Support
Department for a four-week interim training period.

1. Software fixes were implemented for eight of the eleven
packet switch and Packet Assembler/Disassembler (PAD) functions
which failed during the recently completed MERCURY program
Factory Acceptance Tests. A retest of these functions, as
well as comprehensive regression testing, was then successfully
completed. Software fixes for the three other tests that failed
are still in process.
9Y1 Chief, Systems Engineering Group meet with
25X1 of ORD on 13 August to discuss alternative power systems
and their applicability to OC facilities. The discussions
centered around the commercial advances in energy storage
devices and their use for providing a load leveling capability.
It was agreed that there was a sufficient overlap of capability
25X1 and OC applicability to proceed further, will
contact vendors and obtain further information for a possible
system power study.
