A briefing package of vugraphs and appropriate background
material was prepared for the DD/CO's use during a 25 July
briefing presented to members of the DA/Management Staff.
The briefing focused on OC's FY-86 budget requirements.

offered an excellent opportunity for open and candid discussion
on topics of current concern to both OC's management and those

3. Due to recent discussions between the D/CO and D/OIT,
the first joint OC/OIT Planning Conference is being scheduled

to allow senior managers the opportunity to address major issues

groups will be formed to further explore action items resulting
from the conference. It is also expected that the conference
will be continued on a regular basis.
OC-AMD
1. There were five new applicants for the Professional
Opportunities in Telecommunicatons (POINT) Program. We now
have four candidates scheduled to commence training
in August and additional candidates in various
stages of POINT processing.
3. Although the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA)
Maintenance and Operations Computer Based Training (CBT)
Course is still in the review stage, there was a significant
step undertaken when seven employees successfully completed
this new training course using CBT methodology. Tnitil
25X1 feedback indicates program
is a success and will be very instrumental in allowing increased
frequency of future runnings as well as decreasing the classroom
time required.
4. OTE has agreed to present a dedicated running of the
25X1 Career Development Workshop secretarial personnel on
27-28 October.

6. The AMD Security Officer has arranged for an OIT pre-
sentation to be given to OC employees on 15 August at 1300 in
regarding OS' Personnel Access Security
System (PASS) due to be installed in
the Fall of 1986. All individuals are encouraged to attend.

3. On 22 July, participated in the
evaluation of the Message Handling Facility proposals. This
second review covered the contractor response to issues and
questions regarding the proposals. Adjustments were made to
the evaluations and the contract award is forthcoming.
