2. Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occurred During
the Preceding Week:
d. On 18 July 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics,
held preconstruction meetings with Hitt Contracting, Inc. for two
projects--Renovations to Room GH43 and Renovations to Room 6E1901:
Both projects are in the Original Headquarters Building. The fixed
price value of the contracts are $49,843 and $13,369, respectively.

e. On 19 July 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics,
issued Invitation for Bids for renovations to the 4G Corridor in the
Original Headquarters Building. The work is being accomplished as
part of the Headquarters Backfill Program. The estimated price range
for the work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and was sent to ten
25X1 contractors.
f. On 20 July 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics,
issued Invitation for Bids for the renovations of the 4F Corridor in
the Original Headquarters Building. The work is part of the
Headquarters Backfill Program with an estimated price range between
$25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation package was sent to five
potential bidders and requires that bids be submitted by 18 August
25X1 1988.
g. On 22 July 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics,
issued a contract to Smith, Hinchman & Grylls Inc. to survey, design,
and prepare construction documents for approximately 35,000 square
feet of office space on the second and third floors in the South
Tower of the New Headquarters Building. The work is expected to be
completed by 16 August 1988 for the firm-fixed-price amount of
