Suggestions For A Special Awar
Memo for multiple addresses from C/IMSS/OL dated
14 Oct 86, same subject
has reviewed the reference and suggest that the Office
of Logistics/DDA award be titled "Logistician of the Year" as we are
all logisticians per se in the OL career service. We could also
suggest Logistical Scientist of the year but that would be
stretching it a bit, albeit Logistics is a science. Another thought
to be considered: we have engineers in the DDA as well as the
DDS&T; would OL engineers be considered for the DDS&T award as
"Engineer of the Year"? What about OC engineers? Would Computer
Scientists be eligible for the DDS&T award as "Scientist of the
Year"?
Suggested other awards within the DDA: This parallels the
action addressees in the DDA memorandum.
Communications Specialist of the Year (Communicator of the Year)
Finance Specialist of the Year (Financier of the Year)
Information Services Specialist of the Year (Hope this is not
confused with DDO Information Management Staff)
Medical Services Technologist of the Year
Personnel Specialist of the Year
Security Technologist of the Year
Training Specialist of the Year.
The MG career services, i.e., Support Officers are not addressed
and and might be categorized as "Administrator of the Year" or
Support Generalist of the Year.
DDS&T is suggesting two awards per year. We have multiple
offices in the DDA and would have to probably spread the awards over
a 3 to 4 year period to encompass all DDA offices.
Again, these are suggestions, but do have merit
