The FMLN-communique released in Managua said
Miss Anaya had been "carrying -out international
missions" of the guerrilla group, which is fighting

"This .treacherous crime carried out by sinister
bands of the CIA demonstrates the desperation of the
imperialist aggressors," it said. "The government of
the United States will spare no resource or. means to
carry out its macabre plans."

supplies to the guerrillas through Nicaragua.
