War crimes suspect,
CIA allegedly linked
Renewed allegations that the
Central intelligence Agency misled
Congress by slipping Nazi collabo-
rators into the United States sur-
faced this wee4 when a New York
man was identified as a possible
war criminal who aided the agen-
cy in intelligence operations. A re-
port by, the General Accounting;
Office indicates that Mykola
Lebed provided intelligence infor-
mation to the CIA and that he was
brought into the country under an
alias. John Loftus, a Rockland.
Mass., lawyer and former Justice
Department investigator, says
Lebed, 75, a Ukranian emigre. Is
"arguably the highest-ranking
Nazi criminal or collaborator still
at large." Loftus is working with
Congress and the GAO on such
