FBI charges 2 with selling U.S. secrets
The FBI revealed two "classic" spy scenarios Tuesday
as a reported KGB agent was charged with selling secret
documents to the Soviets and - in an unrelated case - a
Naval intelligence analyst was accused of selling secret
satellite photographs to the British, lane's Defence Weekly.
Agents on Monday arrested Alice Michelson, 67, of East
Berlin trying to leave from New York's Kennedy Airport for
Czechoslovakia - laden with classified government cables
hidden in a cigarette pack. And the arrest of Samuel L
Morison, 40, of Crofton, Md., marks the first time the U.S.
government has charged an employee with selling secrets
not to a foreign government but to a corporation.
