Appeals His Jail Term
LONDON, Dec. 11 (Reuters) - A con-
victed spy, Geoffrey Prime, is appeal-
ing the 35-year prison sentence imposed
on him last month for passing secret
formation to the Soviet Union,
Mr. Prime, a Russian-language ex-
pert who worked at the top-secret Gov-
ernment communications center where
Soviet signals are translated and ana-
lyzed, pleaded guilty to seven charges
of spying for the Soviet Union.
