SUBJECT: Briefing on Soviet Strategic Military Net Assessments
for SSCI
On 8 July 1987, a briefing on Soviet strategic military
net assessments was held in 219 Hart Building from 1530 to 1745
hours. Senator Bill Bradley, (D., NJ) chaired the meeting and
was the only Member present during most of the discussions.
Senator Dennis DeConcini (D., AZ) was present but left after
about fifteen minutes.

SOVA/DI; and Bob Blackwell, NIO US R revresent-A the
Agency. Mr. Mat Lowenthal (INR) and a (DIA)
also participated in the discussions. Information on the
attached questions were discussed during most of the meeting.
This was the latest in a series of discussions on this subject
