LLA#S. ^ L T"4 DATEt 17 October 1957 SUBJECT: AF Serial Numbers Allocated for Aircraft under SP 1913 and SP 1914 TO: Contracting Officer Prior to SP 1914 aircraft being assigned, to Del Rio this past June, AF serial numbers were obtained and affixed to each aircraft. This procedure was discussed in detail with Project Headquarters Security and approved. Sufficient AF serial numbers were obtained at that time to provide an AF number for each LAC line ship number. The numbers obtained run from AF 56-6675 to AF 56-6722 inclusive. or a total of 48 numbers. (One (1) SP 1913 aircraft had been lost at that time so no number was obtained for it). SP 1914 aircraft have serial numbers assigned as follows: LAC #361 - AF 56-6694 in sequence to LAC #389 - 56-6722. LAC #390 is unassigned. - Serial numbers AF 56-6675 thru AF 56-6693 have been held available for SP 1913 aircraft when needed. Since two SP 1913 aircraft are scheduled for immediate transfer to SP 1914 and in anticipation of the possible transfer of five additional SP 1913 aircraft to SP 1914 in the near future, assignment of AF serial numbers for such aircraft is anticipated. Listed herein are AF serial numbers and the proposed assignment for SP 1913 aircraft to be affixed to the aircraft at such time as transfer.is effect to SP 1914 or at any other time that use of an AF number is desired.
