Some of the high figures in this quarter's report
need some explanation. Almost half of the documents
sent out under the heading of "Finished Intelligence"
were copies of "The World Factbook--1983." The large
jump in the numbers of maps and biographic reports
sent out are due to the number of CODELS this
past summer, and many of the requests were for
multiple copies. The SSCI has asked to receive
routinely all DDI finished intelligence, which
explains the increase in the number of documents
they received.
