CMB Memorandum M-84-14, dated September 26, 1984,
"Agency Operations in Absence of Appropriations"
1. Congress has not completed action on legislation authorizing the
obligation and expenditure of funds for Fiscal Year 1985. We have been
advised by the Office of Management and Budget that all Agency activities are
to continue as normal, and that the employees are to report to work on Monday,
1 October, at which time a further assessment will be made on the prospects
for enactment of appropriate legislation.
2. We fully expect legislation will be enacted by~dav. Therefore, no
action should be taken to disrupt or delay planned activities due to a
possible funding hiatus. I will keep you informed as more information becomes
available.
