United States Department of State
Washington, D.C. 20520
14 August 1984
All of us can take considerable satisfaction in the
results of our efforts to obtain passage of the Omnibus
Supplemental in the recent Congressional session.
Without the full cooperation and highest levels of
professionalism which you and others in your office
consistently displayed, we would not have obtained such
outstanding results.
I want you and your colleagues to know that those of us in
Legislative Affairs at the State Department who worked this
issue with you greatly appreciate your excellent work and
.cooperative spirit. We look forward to working closely with
you again as we seek to secure passage of the Jackson Plan in
the Senate next month.
Sincerely,
we~
Robert F. Turner
Acting Assistant Secretary
