Dear Mr. Casey:

As a follow up to our discussion, I would like to ask your assistance
on two matters.
On August 2, 1984, I intend to hold a hearing into the link between
narcotics and terrorism. Because the hearing will include Cuban
narcotics trafficking, I would like to request your assistance in
identifying any appropriate witnesses. Of course, all necessary
steps would be taken to protect their identification and assure
their safety.
Additionally, I would like to ask that you supply my Subcommittee on
Alcoholism and Drug Abuse with information relating to drug related
terrorism which could be used in an open hearing.
Thank you for your time and kindness.
Sincerely,
Paula Hawkins
United States Senator
Chairman, Subcommittee on
Alcoholism and Drug Abuse
