Chairman Approved For Release 2008/12/30: CIA-RDP90B01370R001101550038-8 Approved For Release 2008/12/30: CIA-RDP90B01370R001101550038-8 COMMITTEE ON THE JUDICIARY HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NOTICE TO WITNESSES Prepared Statements Section 113 (b) of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1970 provides that each committee of the House of Representatives shall, insofar as prac- ticable, require all witnesses appearing before it to file in advance written statements of their proposed testimony, and to limit their oral presentation to a brief summary. The House Committee on the Judiciary will require all witnesses scheduled to testify before it to provide the Committee with a minimum of 35 copies of a prepared statement at least forty-eight hours prior to the scheduled appearance of the witness. While there is no set form required for the prepared statement, it is recommended that the statement be type- written, double spaced, or printed. The 35 copies will be for the use of the members and staff of the Committee. If the witness desires the Committee to make available to the press, or the public, copies of his prepared state- ment, he will provide the Committee with such number of additional copies as he desires to be distributed.
