Briefing Of Representative Pease
1. On 3 Mayl and I briefed Representative Pease. 25X1
Office of Legislative Liaison, accompanied the
briefers and Mr. Bill Goold, an aide to the Congressman, also 25X1
attended.
2. Representative Pease asked for and received an overview
of the military and political situations in El Salvador and
Nicaragua, as well as significant developments in Honduras and
Costa Rica.
3. Representative Pease then asked a number of questions
Representative Pease concluded
briefing by thanking us and saying that he had arranged for
"back-to-back" briefings by DIA and State.
4. The meeting was amicable and no follow up is
anticipated.
