Dear Mr. Chairman:
Thank you very much for your letter of 4 December 1984
to the Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) calling
attention to the erroneous information in the FBIS Daily
Report of 14 November stating that you had met with King
Husayn of Jordan. A check by FBIS of bureau files has
confirmed that the Jordanian press agency PETRA-JNA
incorrectly used your name in its report instead of
Congressman Bonker's. As you probably know, FBIS reports
news from media sources, but does not make it a practice to
confirm the content of the reports.
