SUBJECT: Telephone Conversation with Ron Sable
I explained to Ron Sable our strategy for preserving the
Reserve: calls by Casey, Gates or myself on all the Members of
SSCI plus calls on a few others by Stevens. I also gave him a
read out on the DCI Poindexter-Boren, Bradley meeting last
week. Ron responded that Poindexter had called Dole over the
weekend complaining that Durenberger was uncooperative about the
Reserve. Dole apparently responded by postponing the SSCI Mark
up to May 6, thus giving us plenty of time to make our pitch'.
Although we knew the Mark up was postponed, I did not know until
now why it was postponed.
