SUBJECT: Weekly Report
The President signed the Tax Reform Bill on 22 October. It
contains a provision that repeals-the three-year recovery rule
retroactive to 1 July 1986. This eliminates a tax benefit
enjoyed by many federal workers. There appears to be some
Congressional support for a bill in the next Congress that would
"repeal the repeal."
