Casey Director Central Intelligence Agency Washington, D.C. 20505 Dear Mr. Casey: The Committee on Government Operations has a continuing interest in the Implementation of the law commonly known as Gramm-Rudman-Hollings because it falls within the Committee's legislative as well as oversight jurisdiction. Thus far the Committee has held three hearings on various aspects of Gramm-Rudman-Hollings. The Committee is presently reviewing the impact this law has had on the various departments and agencies in Fiscal Year 1986 as well as what its impact is likely to be in Fiscal Year 1987. Enclosed is a questionnaire containing five questions on these topics to which the Committee would like your response by Friday, July 11, 1986. When you return the questionnaire, please include the name and phone number of the person who should be contacted in case anything needs clarification. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
