SUBJECT: Counterterrorism Briefing for the SSCI, 12 June 1986
1. In the counterterrorism briefing scheduled for
Thursday, 12 June, the SSCI would like to get a better
understanding of the system for disseminating threat
information and the NIO's comment on its effectiveness. The
briefing will be held in 219 Hart Building at 1600 hours. It
can be held at the Top Secret/Codeword level and should take
30-40 minutes. SSCI Committee members will probably not
attend; an exception could be Senator Bradley who is
interested in intelligence- related matters. Steve Ockenden,
head of the SSCI Production Oversight, is a point of contact
for the briefing (224-1732).
