SUBJECT: SSCI Personnel Review Team Meeting with
Investigations Group, Office of
Security
1. Chief Investigations Group,
Office Of Security, briefed Gary Moore, SSCI and Tom
Schultz, a GAO detailee on the SSCI personnel review team on
the role played by the polygraph in Agency personnel
procedures. Chief Polygraph Division,
also took part in the rie i ong with the undersigned.
which has been in operation
for just two months. He explained a purpose served by the
facility and how its expanded capacity will help to relieve
the backlog of polygraphs. He mentioned the staff increases
that have been made and are scheduled, in part as the result
of the SSCI approval for such increased resources. He and
explained the five different polygraph programs
employed by the Agency.

aspects of the polygraph were covered.

means that might be used to expedite the security processing
were discussed. At the conclusion of the briefing the

staffers were conducted on a walking tour of the facility to
observe the polygraph activities in progress. They
expressed their appreciation for the excellent briefing.
