With regard to your note offering the DO an opportunity to
provide a representative to serve in your newly-formed Advanced
Workstation Branch, we appreciate the offer but don't feel that
we can afford a GS 12-14 officer for full-time effort on this
particular activity. We would, however, like to provide input
to the very important activities of this branch. We have a
number of technically-oriented officers who could serve in a
temporary capacity to assist in completing requirements
studies, preparing contractor specifications, evaluating
contractor proposals, etc. Please contact IMS' Deputy Chief,
to identify specific DO officers
for participation in these, or related, activities on a
case-by-case basis.
