SUBJECT: Request for CBJ Blueplate Articles
1. In early September we requested Blueplate topics which could be
included in the 1988-89 CIA Congressional Budget (CBJ). The Comptroller has
reviewed the Directorate Blueplate topics that were submitted and has selected
the following three:
B. CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS; GETTING THE WORD TO WASHINGTON IN REAL
TIME: This article should focus on the Crisis Communications Center, its
facilities and equipment (with graphics) and use in 1986 and on the role
of communications officers in the field operating under crisis
conditions. Suggest using the following examples:

2. As you are aware, blueplates can provide a vehicle for telling a more
detailed story about one particular accomplishment than is possible in the
relatively short accomplishments section of the CBJ. Additional information
on Blueplate topics is contained on page 37 of the 1988 Program and Budget
Call Book._
3. Please provide your one-page write-ups of the selected topics and
25X1 graphics to this stiff by 3 October 1986, or sooner if possible.
