The Studies in Intelligence Editorial Board met Friday evening and Saturday morning, 2-3 October 1987 Present were Miss Boatner, Maloney, 2. Miss Boatner called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The minutes of the 12-13 June meeting were discussed, and agreed that the Board members should be sent a copy of the schedule for the coming year. The Board gave its approval for the annual Christmas reception honoring contributors to Studies in 1987. This will be held on Tuesday, 8 December, in t Fe Executive Dining Room. 6. Miss Boatner reported that she had used CIA letterhead notepaper in sending out copies of the special issue of the journal commemorating the Bicentennial of the Constitution. She has ordered paper imprinted with "Studies in Intelligence" and the logo to use in the future. Miss Boatner reported that she had had a visit from someone who felt that the journal had suffered recently from inadequate proofreading. He gave her several examples of the sort of mistakes he had found. She said these errors are "cumulatively bothersome" and something we need to worry about. 8. Article ideas were next considered. Five articles were dropped, and 22 were added.
