On behalf of Winston-Salem State University I express my thanks to the
Central Intelligence Agency and the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity
for making it possible for this university to receive a large shipment of
surplus Agency furniture. The furniture will, indeed, fill a very vital
need, and we look forward with great anticipation to future donations.
Concomitant with the furniture donations, your organization continues
to be very active on our campus, participating in recruiting for full-time
staff positions,. placing students in Cooperative Education and Summer Intern
positions, supplying visiting lecturers to conduct seminars for our Computer
Science Department, while sending managers to speak to students during our
Youth Motivation Task Force Program.
For all of this you are to be commended. I offer again my personal
thanks and that of the university, to you and all who assist in the adminis-
tration of your very effective affirmative action program.
