The suggested format is 30 minutes of remarks on a topic of your choice followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers. You could expect an audience of 500 - 1000 graduates, undergraduates, and faculty. The media would cover the event. The University Union, an arm of the University, sponsors all cultural activities at the school. Their speakers' program provides students with the opportunity to hear prominent men and women discuss national and international issues.. Previous speakers have included former President Jimmy Carter, Gloria Steinem and Jesse Jackson. . Since you spoke at the University of Virginia Law School and spent several days on campus in October 1986, I recommend that you decline this invitation. If you agree, attached is a letter of regret for your signature.
