Malott Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer FMC Corporation 200 East Randolph Drive Chicago, Illinois 60601 Dear Bob: ER 0468-88 January 29, 1988 Thanks for your letter of January 21st. It was nice of you to invite me to speak to the Kenilworth Union Church Public Affairs program in connection with a possible talk to the Mid-America Committee later in the spring. The latter is not yet on my books, but if I do come it would be difficult for me to take on two engagements, as I would want to spend as much time as possible with my children and grandchildren. I hope you understand. Many thanks for thinking of me. It was good to see you in Washington, and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Warmest regards to you both, ' Sincerely, (4-1AA William H. Webster Director The Central Intelligence Agency Washington, D.C. 20505 Dear Bill: During my tenure as Chairman of the Board of the Kenilworth Union Church, we started a Public Affairs program to review issues of local, national and international concerns. A listing of the speakers (and their topics) since the program was initiated is enclosed. The Kenilworth Union Church is a small non-denominational church located in Kenilworth, Illinois, about 35 to 40 minutes north of downtown Chicago. Our format includes a private dinner for our speaker with a few of the leaders in our congregation. This is followed by a one-hour program, attended by 125-150 people, including a 20 to 25 minute presentation and a question and answer period. The program usually begins at eight in the evening, and we schedule each meeting according to the availability of the speaker (Monday through Thursday). It is my understanding that you are scheduled to talk to the Mid-America Committee some time later this spring. In connection with that trip I wonder if we could entice you to honor us by being a Public Affairs speaker. I hope you will be able to join us for this program. Robert H.
