Wickham, Jr., USA (Retired), of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), has invited you to attend AFCEA's 42nd International Convention and Exposition at the Washington Convention Center the 14th through the 16th of June. The convention will feature six technical panel presentations on such topics as technical transfer, space, non-developmental. items, and acquisition. In addition, over 500 companies will be exhibiting developments in Command, Control, Corrpnunciations, Electronics, Intelligence and Information sy3stems (C3I), and there will be exhibits featuring the latest technology in C I and information systems. General Wickham would like you to be AFCEA's guest at one of the following: the. Keynote Luncheon, 14th of June (speaker, Congressman Ike Skelton, Missouri); the Sustaining Members' Luncheon, 15th of June (speaker, John Marsh, Secretary of the Army); or the C3I Luncheon, 16th of June (speakers, Service C I principals). You would be seated at lunch with government, military and industry professionals from the C3I community. In addition, over 500 companies will be displaying the latest in capabilities in Command, Control, Communications, Electronics, Intelligence and Information Systems. Another. thing being offered by the AFCEA Career Planning Center at the Convention is a Career Transition Seminar. This Seminar will help retiring and other departing military personnel prepare for jobs in the corporate world. Seven corporate executives will speak on .such topics as resume preparation, how to find a job, job-search services, and corporate perceptions of the retiring military.
