REFERENCE: MEETING OF GENERAL COUNSEL'S COORDINATING GROUP
ON SEPTEMBER 9, 1987, 10:00 A.M. IN ROOM 476, OEOB
There will be a meeting of the General Counsel's Coordinating
Group on Wednesday, September 9, 1987 at 11:00 a.In.
The focus of the meeting will be potential future legislative
proposals in the wake of the Iran-Contra hearings and the
prospects that related investigations may be commenced by various
standing committees of the House and Senate. Attached is a
proposed agenda.
Because of the importance of the issues to be discussed, the
General Counsel and the Director of Legislative Affairs should
plan to attend.
The meeting should last about one hour.
Please notify my office at 456-2715 by close of business,
September 8, 1987 of the names and dates of birth of each person
who will be attending.

The following is the agenda for the September 9, 1987 meeting of
the General Counsel's Coordinating Group.
1. Status of any outstanding requests for document
production, interviews or sworn testimony.
2. Report by DOJ on disposition of Executive Branch
documents provided to Select Committees.
3. Discussion of possible legislative proposals to be made
by Select Committees.
4. Discussion of possible Executive Branch proposals or
positions.
5. Discussion of possible hearings or document requests by
other Congressional Committees.
6. Status of related litigation.
7. Discussion of any relevant security issues and response
to future declassification requests.
