On behalf of the State Department Senior Seminar,
I want to thank your Agency for hosting a day-long session
of the Seminar at Langley on March 21. The agenda, which
was designed by a CIA member of our group, included fine
presentations by the following Agency officers:
Richard Kerr, Deputy Director of Intelligence
Executive Officer, Imagery
Exploitation Division, NPIC
Deputy Director of
Technical Services
John Helgerson, Director of Congressional
Affairs
Directorate of Operations.
We also wish to extend our appreciation to Bill Baker,
who hosted a luncheon for the Seminar in your dining room,
and gave an overview of CIA's relationship with the public,
and of the Center for the Study of
Intelligence, who helped to coordinate and plan all of
our activities.
In their critiques of the day at CIA, Seminar Members
used phrases like "absolutely first-rate," "simply excellent,"
and "couldn't have been improved upon" to describe their
impressions. Please pass along to the above-named individuals
our sincere thanks and praise for a job well done.
Sincerely,
7
