MEMORANDUM FOR: Chief, Security Education Division, OS
FROM: Director of Congressional Affairs
SUBJECT: Security Education for the U.S. Senate
1. As I am sure you are aware, the United States Senate has
established an Office of Senate Security. One of the aims of this
office is to educate the Members and staff members of the Senate
regarding security matters.
2. The Acting Director of the Office of Senate Security,
Mr. Mike DiSilvestro, has advised that the Federal Bureau of
Investigation has agreed to begin "counter-intelligence briefings"
which they will present approximately six times over a period of
several months. The idea is to have this briefing open to all staff
and Members. It is felt that by presenting the briefing several
times they should be able to accommodate everyone's schedule.
3. Mr. DiSilvestro would like to discuss with CIA Security
any educational briefing we feel we could present which would
benefit the staff and Members of the Senate (if any). I would
a reciate your contacting
o of my staff (secure
