1. I am enclosing the letter from Senator Pell
requesting the additional declassification of DCI Helm's
5 May 1971 .testimony before the Foreign Relations Committee.
The Senator asks that we honor the request made by
researchers at the National Archives for further down-
grading of specific passages.
2. While I have sent an interim response to the Senator,
I need to know who in your office will be my point of contact
on this request and what I should expect as a realistic time
frame for our final answer to the Senator.
