The Director has asked me to,respond to your letter'of
October 28, 1988 enclosing five executive session transcripts
for review and declassification. You stated that the Senate
Foreign Relations Committee wishes to print these transcripts
in the next volume of its Historical Series.
We have completed our review of these transcripts as you
requested and have made the following determinations:
7 January 1965: CIA has no objection to the release of
this transcript.
9--February 1965: CIA has no objection to the release of
this transcript..
29 March 1965: CIA concurs with the deletions
recommended by the Department of State (material bracketed in
green). Insofar as CIA equities are concerned, we have no
objection to the release of this transcript.
19 May 1965: CIA concurs with the deletions recommended
by the Department of State (material bracketed in green).
Insofar as CIA equities are concerned, we have no objection
to the release of this transcript.
19 JJ.ly 1965: Portions of this transcript which are
bracketed in red must be withheld under Sections 1.3(a)(4)
and (5) of Executive Order 12356. We note that this document
does not appear to have been reviewed previously by either
the Departments of State or Defense. We strongly recommend
that this be done prior to publication. Please note that we
