Dear Mr. Elliff:
Enclosed are a number of documents in further response to the,
Committee's request dated 26 May 1988.
The documents, numbered 0056-0079, are in response to item
no. 5 in your 26 May letter. We believe that forwarding these
materials represents full compliance with this request. Should we
locate any more documents which are responsive, we shall, of
course, forward them to you at the earliest opportunity.
A few weeks ago you asked for an attachment to document
no. 0054. Our attempt to locate the document was unsuccessful.
Lastly, we have attempted to comply with your request dated
3 August, which asks why the Federal Bureau of Investigation
disseminated certain documents to the Agency on 22 April 1985 and
also for information on certain other Bureau disseminations from
1983 to 1985. With respect to the first portion of the request,
we cannot determine from our files the reasons the Bureau relayed
this information to us. You may wish to consult the Bureau on
this matter. We were not able to track the dispersal of the
documents comprising the second part of the request.
