I. OSWR requests NSA's permission to add the House Permanent
Select Committee for Intelligence (HPSCI) and the Senate Select Committee
for Intelligence (SSCI) to the Science and Weapons Review (SWR)
Distribution A list. (The SWR carries three different distributions: 1)
CIA Internal Use Only; 2) Distribution A--Washington-area hardcopy
recipients; and 3) six wire addressee groups for electronic
dissemination. A SWR article may carry one or more of these
disseminations depending upon the sensitivity of the information.)
2. HPSCI and SSCI will be given the same treatment as other
Distribution A addresses in that NSA may rule that some sensitive
ORCON/ORCON GAMMA SWRs be CIA Internal Use Only. However, copies of the
SWR will not be retained by them as do other Distribution A addressees,
and will be delivered to and retrieved from HPSCI and SSCI the same day.
