SUBJECT- Replacement for DIA IPC Staff Representative
As you know, will be returning early to her parent
zation (DIA/DX- as a result of a major reorganization to assume an
rtant new position.
2. DIA has traditionally detailed a senior officer to the IPC Staff on a
non-reimbursable basis. As we have discussed in the past, DIA participation
on the staff is invaluable to the IPC and DIA. Kate's outstanding
performance, although brief, has advanced the importance of DIA representation
to a new level. Her understanding of the DoD Community and its myriad of
projects and activities has been particularly useful to the Staff. As a
direct result of having quality DIA staff representation, the IPC approved a
significant number of PEI submissions by DIA and the services--valued at over
one million dollars.
3. In view of the foregoing, it is requested that DIA provide a
STAT replacement for at the earliest possible date. It is unfortunate
that is departing in the middle of the FY-89 PEI program. However, I
have made interim staff arrangements to fill the void pending arrival of her
replacement.
